Welcome to esvagy.com!

Hello and welcome to my personal website. I am Andor Koós and I am hosting a personal server that helps me be more independent from big tech. The server is running nixos and is hosting this site too. The aim of this webpage is to make publicly available services on my server easily discoverable. The mentioned public services are as follows with a tick next to the working ones:

Matrix

I host a matrix server for communications. You can reach out to me at @esvagy:esvagy.com on matrix.

Discord

My discord account is bridged to my matrix account. All messages sent to my discord inbox are forwarded to my matrix account. Please don’t text my discord account as it soon will be unused.

Facebook messenger

My messenger account is bridged to my matrix account. All messages sent to my messenger inbox are forwarded to my matrix account. Please don’t text my messenger account as it soon will be unused.

Forgejo

All my currently active projects are hosted on my forgejo instance. The following projects are on my forgejo instance with a tick marking publicly available ones:

Nixos desktop

My personal nixos configuration for my desktop is available at esvagy/nixos-desktop. This repo contains my whole personal environment (eg. DE, shell, editor, …) I use on my desktop.

Nixvim

Nixvim is a project that configures neovim with nix. My personal nixvim setup is available at esvagy/nixvim. If you use nix, you can run it using nix run git+https://git.esvagy.com/esvagy/nixvim.

Nixos server

My server which is hosting this website is configured with nixos too. Currently the configuration is not publicly available unfortunately as I am not quite sure how much a security risk hosting the full server configuration publicly would be. The repo contains no passwords, however a badly configured service or an older version of some software would be publicly viewable and exploitable by everyone and therefore the repo stays private for now.

E-Mail

An e-mail server is planned for my server but setting it up is currently on hold as it seems way harder to set up an e-mail server than setting up the other services was as it requires dns settings to be modified.
